Wheatley Saves His Racers In Disastrous Detroit Fire FireDETROIT DETROIT Mich June 17 Evidently E Jock Wheatleys luck is still with him He has saddled winners of three races dur ¬ ing the past two days for the Dayton Ohio sportsman H Cantor here at the Fair Grounds and considered himself rather lucky In fact he felt inclined to blow his horn Now he really has something to be fortunate about the saving of his entire string of horses eight in all from firerid ¬ dled barn No 10A 10ABarn Barn 10A and No 10 were gutted by a fire of unknown origin that started about midnight Of the various strings involved Wheatleys is one of the few saved intact However some of his horses were injured They received and bruises from running around helter skelter among the barns
