Supervisors of Los Angeles Oppose More Tracks in County LOS ANGELES. Calif., June 13.— The | Los Angeles Board of Supervisors today , expressed opposition to the establishment of any more race tracks in Los Angeles county. Under a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance, a permit would be required from the supervisors before an- other race track can be constructed here. The board approved upervisor Jessups xiiotion instructing county counsel to prepare such an amendment. Chairman William A. Smith requested that the measure contain a provision preventing the regional planning committee from granting building permits for structures which would be used for racing until approved by the board. Supervisors expressed disapproval of the movement now under way to build a track near Puente and voted to inform the state racing commission of their opposition.
