M. lacked speed, was brought to the extreme outside for the drive, rallied and was up in the last strides. HY-TRITE was well placed from the beginning, responded to pressure after a half mile and held on well. WHOSYOURGAL had speed, saved ground to the stretch and gave way badly in the la -t eighth. ILEFETCHIT was never far back, but failed to rally. OBSERVER was steadied along early, began to move up on the outside on the turn, then hung in the last eighth. K. C. GAL had no mishaps. DINA BELLE was prominent from the beginning, was under pressure much of the way and held on well. MY STAR was well placed early, lost some ground on the stretch turn and held on gamely. BLUE GRAIL saved some ground to the stretch, came out for the drive, took command and steadily drew clear. JUDGE DAVEY was never far back, bore out badlv entering the stretch and closed resolutely. LITTLE BENGY had speed, saved ground and tired in the last eighth. BEAN POT was a sharp factor the last eighth, then tired. OVER AND OVER bolted going into the turn. FIFTH RACE 5 1-2 FURLONGS. STROMBUS was outrun for three-quarters, came out for the drive, went to the inside an eighth out and finished stoutly. ROSE CANYON made up some ground, but did not get to the leaders. K.
