S Sgt. J. M. OBrien Injured In Fighting in Philippines LOUISIVILLE, Ky., June 16.— S 2c. A. J. OBrien, former trainer and jockey, who is visiting Louisville while on his first leave in more than two years, has received word M that his brother, S Sgt. John M. OBrien, who also left the turf to join up, is recovering J from injuries suffered in recent [ fighting in the Philippine Islands. A At the same time Seaman OBrien, who wears four bronze stars for outstanding • service at Saipan and in the Marianas, was advised that his brother has been awarded I 1 the Purple Heart.
