: . I | Narragansett Officers Are Returned to Posts Dooley Again Named President; Dividend of Fifty Cents Voted PAWTUCKET, R. I., June 18— At the , annual meeting of stockholders of Nar-1 ragansett Racing Association. Inc.. held at the clubhouse this morning. 263.686 shares out of the total stock issue of 350.000. were voted without opposition to continue the present management for another year. The slate of officers thus elected are James E. Dooley. president; Albert H. Daly, vice-president: Charles A. Connors, chairman of the board of directors: Raymond. J. Mc-i Mahon. secretary and general counsel: Ernest H. Davison, treasurer, and Michael J. Regan, assistant treasurer. Three directors, whose terms had expired, were reelected for a period of three years each. They are Wilford E. Lamarine, Charles A. Connors and William A. Smart. When Director Frank ODonnell died in March of this year, it was suggested that the board of directors be reduced to nine instead of electing a new director. An amendment to the by-laws authorizing this action was adopted this morning by a vote of 261.721 for to 1.965 against. Immediately following the stockholders meeting the board of directors went into session. It was decided that out of the earnings of the spring meeting just concluded, a dividend of 50 fifty cents per share will be paid on July 6. 1945. to stock- holders of record as of June 26. 1945. Plans for the forthcoming autumn meeting, Sept. 3 to Oct. 6. were submitted to the board by President Dooley and were approved and authorized.
