DONT DELAY was a forward factor fioii. the start but could not reach the top one. STORMY BILL bettered lus position gradually and was hutlieied slightly by PAY IN ADYANCE jut before reaching the furlong poele. PAY IN ADYANCE had speed in spots and probably would have been closer with a more experienced rider. GENE CHANCE closed some giouud. BLUE CROSS raced in the first flight «or a half, then tired. TENNESSEE MAID, under restraint while nearest the leader for a half, flattened out when placed to pressure. SPREAD EAGLE came from well batk to turn in a eood effort. Saved giound while improving his position, was fortunate to get through in the early stretch and drew clear while being ridden out. TROJAN FLEET, always well placed, was hard ridden in the closing test, but was not good enough. BlRNING TWIG, taken back alter being well placed early, came again in the final tet while racing on own couiage. SHELTIE. off in front but eased olf the pace, was in close quaiters on the inside at the quarter pole, moved through entering the stretch, then dritued out when saddle slipped, causing much crowding. BIG PARTY, hard ridden while displacing the leader earh. was tiring in the stretch when impeded. SEA RAFT was shut off on the inside leaving the backstretch and all aiound the turn. PELOPS was snugged in behind the leades loi a half, was taken around the leaders and placed to pressure lit the early stietch, took a clear lead near the sixteenth pole and just lasted over DOLLY YARDEN. The latter was outrun early, was forced to take the overland route while moving into the first Might and weald have been up in another stride. CELLARETTE forced the pace to the stretch, took command momentarily . then tired slightly. NEAT AND TIDY was hard pressed while showing in front and tired. BIG THREE lallied well in the stretch run. WELL REPAID rilled gamely on the outside. WE HAIL was unable ., iea h contention while being hard ridden. QlARTER MOON was hard ridden early, took command when d! i oMng of SKY-TRACER at the furlong pole, then tired badly. NANCES ACE was steadied when unable to assume command, was hard ridden in the drive but had nothing in reserve. SKYTRACER showed good early speed and should improve off the rare.
