War Glory Matings ARCADIA, Calif., June 23.— Trainer Bill Buck of Oakmead Farm reports that War Glory, who heads the stud at the ranch, was mated with about 20 mares this season. War Glory is the sire of Phar Rong, Bizerte and other good California breds. Incidentally the mare Xingu, dam of Phar Rong, was bred back to War Glory this year for the first time in several seasons. War Glory was also mated with Rapida, a dam of Sweepida, Santa Anita Derby winner. Rapida is owned by H. C. Dutch Hill. Fifteen foals have arrived at Oakmead, 11 I being by War Glory and four by Vino Puro. It is Vino Puros second crop. «|
