I ! j Grooms and Exercise Riders Meeting Today in New York BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y.. June 5. — Trouble is again brewing from the grooms and exercise riders on the New York tracks. A meeting will be held tomorrow night at Odd Fellows Hall. Jamaica, to determine, according to the mimeographed announcement, "Why many men and boys havent gotten their awards yet and what can be done about it." The announcement of tomorrows meeting, which is for members only, also indicates a schism between the exercise riders and the swipes. "An even more important subject," it reads, many grooms and also boys think the grooms should have their own officers — president, treasurer, board of directors, etc., work under the same charter, but run their own end of the organization." The meeting is scheduled to get under way at 8:00 P.M. and promises to be turbulent.
