MOON MAGIC raced in closest attendance to the pace from the start, assumed command when ready and drlw clear to win easily. DEVIL MAY CARE, slow to reach best stride, was best of the others, but was no match for the winner. EXPERIMENT raced with the first flight throughout and had no excuse. CALIPER showed a good race while improving her position nicely. BUSY JEANNE showed improvement. FARFALINA lacked early speed. SNOW PHANTOM showed nothing. Won easily; second and third driving. BENEKSAR, hard held while following the pace for about a mile and a half, was pinched back on the inside while commencing his move after completing the eleventh fence, recovered well to take command on the final turn, then held sway without need of pressure. ROUGE DRAGON was reserved off the pace after a bad landing at the second jump, took command when asked approaching the twelfth obstacle, but was not able to resist the winner. BOOJUM II. jumped well, but was not good enough. GENANCOKE set the pace for a mile and a half, then quit badly. Scratched— 98075 Busy Moments, 138; 98560 Hada Bar, 137. FLYING WEATHER made a bold move leaving the turn, but was not equal to the task. LANDLORD was best of the others, but appeared to dislike the track. STANLEY had speed, but was through early. CHANTEUSE was always forwardly placed and was best of the others. TACARO BRIAR, hard held while nearest the leader, assumed a slight lead leaving the final turn, then faltered. BULL SESSION rallied only mildly. QUEENS CHANCE quit badly after setting the early pace. FLASH BURN, steadied in close quarters on the inside of stablemate at the first turn, was slow to settle into best stride while trailing, rallied well |hen asked and drew clear after being driven between horses leaving the quarter post. LUCKY HIT was sprinted itno a commanding lead, held on fairly well, but was not good enough. MARCIA P. showed little. LEAVETAKING saved ground, but failed to rally. NEDDIECAN weakened.
