Breadwinner for Gushen SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 1. — Irving Gushen, New England leather merchant who has been prominent in thoroughbred racing during recent years, may have acquired a breadwinner in the Florida-bred Suffazon. The four-year-old colt was claimed for ,000 at Gulfstream Park recently and won at the first asking under Gushens silks. His performance was considered the best turned in on yesterdays program.
