Pimlico Opener Passes 49 PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 1 Maryland Jockey Club officials were satisfied with the showing made both in attendance and mutuel play Saturaday, opening day of the 21-day session. Compared to the second day of last springs meeting, which was a Saturday, and also Dixie Handicap Day, the attendance this year was up about 1,000 and the handle was about ,000 better than a year ago.
