Won driving; second and third the same. KALIMERA saved ground while improving position to the stretch, responded to strong handling during the drive and was up in the last strides. MR. JOE PUCK, never far back, reached the lead when settled in the stretch, but was unable to withstand the winner and just missed. EMPTY SEA engaged COMPARE to the final quarter, then faltered. B0GALUSA finished fast on the extreme outside. STAR PIGEON, in close quarters entering the stretch, could not threaten when clear. DREAM WALKING was never dangerous. LEO P. McL, in tight quarters coming to the upper turn, could not keep up thereafter. COMPARE went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, then gave way. IN COMMAND, away fast and a sharp factor from the start, responded readily when set down through the stretch and, after disposing of RICH WOOD BOY held JUNE AYR. The latter, in hand and racing evenly to the stretch, closed willingly under urging but could not overtake the winner. RICHW00D BOY assumed an early lead; made -the pace until inside the stretch then faltered. DO-DO finished well and had no mishap. MAJOR NICK tired after racing prominently to the stretch. APPLEJACK JAKE raced wide. SCHOLAR TIME was never dangerous. DUFFLE could not keep up. ROMAN HOLIDAY broke well but bore to the outside immediately after the start and was pulled up to avoid striking the outer rail.
