Promising Youngsters Acquired for Roberts Burmester Buys Goya Colt, Two Whirlaway Fillies for Texan FORT WORTH, Texas, May 6?— Bud Burmester, who recently returned from Lexington, where he witnessed the racing at Keeneland and found time to buy several horses for the account, of James C. Roberts, Fort Worth oilman, believes he secured some exceptional young stock. "The yearling colt by Goya out of the stakes winning mare, Hope Eternal, is a good one, and rightly so. Mr. Roberts could have doubled his money the day after I got him. I am also very high on the Whirlaway filly, which is out of Hug Again, dam of Fervent and Sun Again, and I assume this explains why I am so high on this one. "In addition, I was fortunate enough to secure Whirl Off, a smart two-year-old filly by Whirlaway out of Bostoff , by Bos-tonian, from the Haddix sale/ continued Burmester. The yearlings will be left with Alec Gordon at Lexington, and Roberts racing unit, to be augmented in the near future, will be trained by Cliff Porter, who was engaged in Lexington. It is probable that the Roberts color bearers will race at Chicago this summer. Rough Cookie and Pleasemenow are the other Roberts horses in training.
