PORTERS BROOM held a clear lead when settled for the stretch run and held sway thereafter when fully extended. DISCONSOLATE moved up with a rush midway of the final furlong, then appeared to hang during the late stages. SEAWARD closed with good courage in a sharp effort. WALKIE TALKIE was outrun early and failed to make up appreciable ground. SYNDICATE failed to attain the lead and tired. DR. VIGOROUS raced PANCH0 SUPREME into defeat tft open a commanding lead after a half mile and, in a long drive, held EVANSTEP safe. The latter steadily improved his position between horses and finished willingly. KOSADUS was unhurried when outrun early and made up some ground during the drive. PANCH0 SUPREME was much used engaging for the initial advantage and had little left. ROYAL TULIP lacked speed. ZOOM moved up menacingly nearing the furlong marker, then faltered. OPENING DAY, away fast and steadied while racing with THUNDER HOOF to the uupper turn, assumed command when ready and retained good advantage while winning with speed in reserve. SKY TRAIN, in hand to the last three-eighths, finished well on the extreme outside, but could not menace the winner although much the best of the others LIMERICK BOY lacked early speed. THUNDER HOOF went to the front early, made the pace to the upper turn while enaaaina OPENING DAY, then tired. ROYAT could not keep up. COUNT GOLD had brief speed.
