Shea, Jr.; bred by G. Thorn. WENT TO POST— 5:38. OFF AT 5:381 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall, gate. Won driving; second and third the same. SUNNY BONES, under light pressure while close to the pace, came around BROAD CROSS to quickly open a clear lead entering the stretch, then was tiring, but lasted over DIXIE SWEEP. The latter, outrun and far back for six furlongs, was taken off stride swerving to an opening on the inside midstretch, and was then quickly wearing down the winner. QUICKSET made up distance gradually under pressure and finished well. GAY PATTY could not reach the front and weakened. BROAD CROSS faltered badly after setting the pace to the stretch. LEADERSHIP was through early. GREEN BOWLER was never extended.
