PETER BARTON broke alertly, went along with the pace, responded to stout pressure through the stretch and outfinished LADY JACSUN. The latter assumed command at once, was unable to draw clear, saved ground, but faltered near the end. MOON NIGHT lost ground on the final bend. JUANA failed to make up appreciable ground under urging. BURNT PAIR broke tardily and was unable to make up lost ground despite skirting the inner rail. HAMANASA moved into command soon after the start, increased his margin on the far turn, skirted the inner rail and held on gamely to keep TIME ROLL safe. The latter engaged the leader inside the final furlong and was pressing to the end. RACSO, never far off the pace, failed to make up ground when placed under pressure. SENATOR C. was under urging to gain a slight advantage leaving the barrier, was unable to stay with the pace and lacked a rally in the stretch. WAVERLY showed nothing. Won driving; second and third the same/ DADA broke alertly, raced GAY DUTY into submission after a quarter of a mile, drew clear, then went very wide on the finaLturn, but responded to pressure and had enough left to hold MILLDALE safe. The latter improved position gradually and finished with good energy. ASSASSINATOR was sluggish from the start, challenged briefly on the far turn, saved ground, but was not good enough. CHANCESCRIPT was never prominent WOODFORD LASS broke tardily, was under urging to improve position, but failed to threaten. GAY DUTY quit. KNIGHTS KNAVE was outrun. BIG REWARD forced the pace, saved ground throughout, but was not good enough. AUNTIE, outrun to the final turn, rallied mildly to make up ground. GALLA BABE had no mishap. MUSICAL LADY showed good speed while setting the pace, shortened stride after a half mile and was tiring. TIM B. was unable to keep up. , DARING MATE was outrun.
