U.S. Rejects Russian Offer WASHINGTON, D. C, May 10 UP. The United States has rejected an offer by Russia to settle its lend-lease accounts for two cents on the dollar, it was reported today. Both sides were described as "far apart" in their three-year-old negotiations to reach a settlement on the 1,000,000,000 in lend-lease goods sent to Russia during World War n. State Department officials said Russia has made several proposals for "token" payments. All have been rejected. One of these was said unofficially to be an offer to pay 00,000,000.
