Off Track Plays Havoc With Suffolk Downs Card Eight Better Grade Platers Vie In Best Offering on Program SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 10. — The heavy rains that fell during last night and turned the track into a sea of mud prior to this mornings workouts is blamed for tomorrows featureless card at Suffolk Downs. Hampered by the "off" track conditions which prevailed during the first 10 days of the current meeting, local horsemen havebeen retarded in getting their better charges in shape. A heavy shower that started at noon today did not help matters any. The best offering of the eight race program will be run as the sixth race. Eight platers of the ,000 down to ,500 are slated to match strides over the mile and 70 yards route In ah event fashioned for four-year-olds and upward. Included in the line-up are-two former stakes winners, Salerno and Liteco, but like the other con testants, their records of the past two seasons are hardly worth mentioning, Lite co won her last start at Lincoln Downs before transferring here and off that victory will probably be installed a tepid favorite in tomorrows engagement. Salerno also, has one victory to his credit this season, taking the major portion of a purse at Gulfstream Park this spring. The others in the main attractions arex Jet Star, Lolling, Vinita Ed, Spiteful Sue, Joble and Captain Boudour. Of this group only Vinita Ed and Jobie boast, of winning efforts this yean
