The latter was rushed into the runner-up position soon after the start, but failed to gain on the top one in the final, run. JEANETTE was unable to-keep up early, then circled horses in the drive and finished well. SHORTY P. raced forwardly placed, but failed to threaten. WYEDEAN closed fast on the inside through the stretch. CISSY GRAY weakened steadily after a swift beginning. BANNED BABY showed nothing. QUARTER BOOTS was hustled into command at once, set an even pace under light pressure, then was ridden out in the final stages. FICKLEROSE, away slowly when unprepared for the start closed willingly through the final run, but drifted wide and was no match for the winner. PARK LANE moved into contention quickly from a poor beginning, made a mild bid on the final tum, then weakened. JEEP SUPPLY, shuffled back- after the start, was moving swiftly when apparently bothered between horses in the backstretch, then could not menace. FREEDOM WINS had no excuse. AGRARIAN-U was nicely steadied while resisting the challenges of IMPERIAL ROCK, opened a clear lead inside the stretch, then drifted slightly wide while besting CRYSTAL BOOT. The latter, in hand while behind the first flight, found an opening on the inside entering the stretch and finished determinedly. GOBBLER raced forwardly, placed and finished strongly while being forced slightly wide by the winner. TOREADOR was unable to improve his position until the stretch, then closed gamely. CUTTING EDGE was outrun. OVEREXPOSED was never a serious factor. PLEASE DO dropped back suddenly after the start VALS KID was forced wide with her mild rally. IMPERIAL ROCK tired badly.
