Czech Figure Skating Champ Signs Ice Follies Contract MONTREAL, Quebec, May 13 UP.— AJa Vrzanova, Czechoslovakian figure skater and reigning worlds champion, said today she has decided to relinquish her amateur status and turn professional. The charming Prague skater said she had signed a pro contract with the Ice Follies, which opens in Hollywood in September. The 18-year-old Czech girl, who has been skating for 11 years, finished fourth in the Olympic Games figure skating competition in 1948, then won the 1949 worlds title and both the European and world crowns in 1950.
