First Million-Dollar Day WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, 111., May 19. — The Lincoln Fields-at-Washing-ton Park meeting experienced the first million dollar handle of the early Chicago season today when a crowd of 17,706 wagered a total of ,105,646. Thus far during the first five days of the current season both attendance and wagering have shown a 9 per cent increase. The initial Saturday of the 1950 Lincoln meet attracted 17,297 who wagered 71,094.
