Arizona Racing Commission Announces 1951-52 Dates PHOENIX, Ariz., June 4.— The Arizona State Racing Commission today announced racing dates for the 1951-52 winter season. The outstanding change is the reduction in the number of days allotted for the State Fair race meeting. Instead of the 10 or more days of consecutive racing as formerly, this year there will be but five days of the turf sport spread over a nine-day period. The dates as announced are: State Fair — Fairgrounds, Phoenix, Nov. 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 5 days. Fairgrounds, Phoenix— Nov. 16, 1951-Jan. 13, 1952, incl. 30 days. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, plus Thanksgiving Day and New Years Day. x Sportsmans Park, Phoenix — Jan. 18- t * i " J t " 1 J * . * fc ■ ■ f « i March 9, 1952, incl. 25 days. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, plus admission day, Feb. 14. Arizona Downs, Scottsdale— March 14-May 11, incl. 26 days. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, except the Friday of the Rodeo parade and providing that only 8 races shall be run on Good Friday if post time for the first race is after 2 p. m. Rillito, Tucson— Nov. 4, 1951-April 27, 1952, incl. 30 days, 1 charity, Sundays only, plus Saturday, March 1, 8, 15 and 22.
