Yearling by Rico Monte— Boat Attracting Much Attention LEXINGTON, ,Ky., June 6. — A brown yearling filly who is attracting more than passing attention from prospective buyers at the Keeneland Summer Sale, is a miss by Rico Monte from the good producer Boat, by Man o War. Boat is the dam of the stakes winners Rampart, Noble Hero and Greek Ship and her handsome daughter carries the promise of success both on i the track and in the stud. Last year Boats I colt by Teddys Comet brought 5,000 in I the Keeneland ring. The Boat filly is in the consignment of Harry B. Scott, Jr., who will also offer a colt by Teddys Comet — Sleepytime Gal, by Questionnaire. Sleepytime Gal is a half-sister to Greentrees Sunday Evening who won the Spinaway. Harrie B. Scott, father of Boats owner and master of Shandon Farm, will offer two attractive colts and ajilly and he is particularly enthused over the filly. This miss is by Pavot from Blue Castle, a young Blenheim II. mare and last year her full brother brought 1,000. A colt in the Scott group is by Pavot— Bluehaze and this mare is a sister to Blue Swords. J. S. Phipps went to 0,000 to secure her first foal last year, a colt by Vezzano. Completing the small but select Scott consignment is a bay colt by Adaris — War Jitters, by Man o War. War Jitters is the dam of The Shaker and her colt by Roman brought 5,600 in last years sale.
