Dixville and Masterson Meet Again in Detroit Headliner DETROIT, Mich., June 6. — Two-year-olds are to occupy the spotlight tomorrow at this course and seven from the division are scheduled to parade postward in the four and .one-half furlongs Fort Dearborn Purse. Under the allowance conditions of the dash, C. E. Nelsons Masterson and James Paddock!s Louisville - owned First Heir are to shoulder equal top weight burdens of 120 pounds. While Masterson and First Heir are well regarded in the Fort Dearborn line-up, the Paddock youngster certainly is to have a useful running mate in G and G Stables Dixville, who gets in with 112 pounds. Others named for the headliner are W. W. Stones Sandtop, 115; Henry Forrests Flaneur, 112; M. and I. Pricketts Choice Bits, and Milton Shagrins Shag Tails, 115 pounds. The return engagement between Dixville and Masterson in the Forth Dearborn has stirred up considerable interest. The pair met yesterday and Masterson won over Saddlers Joy by a head while Dixville finished third just a nose farther back. Dixville, however, had some excuse for the G and G Stable colt was roughed immediately after the start "and, after getting, clear, turned in a splendid performance although beaten. With clear sailing, he is expected to offer Masterson a stiff battle for major honors.
