Citation Now Only 7,290 Off Million Mark L HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 15.— Calumet Farms Citation was ,250 nearer his million-dollar goal and now has only 7,290 to go to attain that objective as a result of his victory here Thursday in the Century Handicap at one mile. His present bankroll amounts to 52,710, and the workmanlike fashion in- which he scored his Century -victory gave rise to speculation that he will be working on his second million before he leaves here at the close of the Hollywood Park season. % In winning the Century, which marked his first victory since he created a p new worlds record of 1:33% at Golden Gate Fields on June 3 a year ago, turned - the tables on one of his most recent conquerors, A. J. Crevolins Be Fleet. The 7 latter beat the Calumet star in the Argonaut Handicap at a mile and a sixteenth on Memorial Day, but Thursday Citation led this opponent under the wire by a £ half length. Citations time for the eight furlongs was 1:35%, which is two- 2 fifths of a second off the track record. Citation carried 120 pounds to 123 for C JBe Fleet.
