Colt Foal by I WillChiffon Experienced Early in Life LifeGOSHEN GOSHEN Ky May 9 A foal who was a passenger in the winners circle after last years 11000 Ascot Gold Cup made his first worldly appearance at Warner L Jones Jrs Hermitage Farm a few days ago Hes a black colt by IWill out of the mare Chiffon It seems his dam a daugh ¬ ter of Count Fleet was bed last spring to the young Roman stallion whije still in training She was owned by John H Clark at the time timeClark Clark later sold her to trainer James Deaton who took her racing at River Downs At the Cincinnati track she won three of her first four starts for Deaton then was sold to Jones and H J Seppen field for 2500 2500She She became a bargain in her second start for them by winning a 7500 two mile marathon Sent from the Downs to Ascot she next captured the Gold Cup setting a new track record for the two miles She made several more starts fpr her owners then was sent on to the farm to prepare for her new life as a broodmare
