SUN IDOL BOY assumed command at once, established a clear lead before entering the strelch, but was briskly ridden during the drive to withstand BLUE FALCON. The latter, forwardly placed from the start, closed gamely under punishment, but could not reach the top one. VIS PRIDE lacked early speed, but finished fast. GRAIN MARKET was unable to reach the leaders when setjown for the drive. PRISSY BOY gave a good effort and had no mishap. FAST BREAK began slowly. JACROSS was outrun. FLORAL TRAIL failed to stay after showing early speed. FIGHTING JOHN could not keep up. HIGH BOSS went lame soon after the start. MISS BELLEVUE, keen factor from the start, raced BROOKETTA into defeat entering the stretch and then drew clear under urging. BROOKETTA went to the front at the start, made the pace to the stretch but could not hold the winner. ALIE-ED, on the inside throughout, could not reach the leaders when se down for the drive. CATTARAGUS raced evenly and had no mishap. TRIPLE FLIGHT had early speed. HOOPSON faltered after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. BUSY LAD was never dangerous. TUNE TIME was outrun. SENATOR C. INDELIBLY saved ground while racing evenly to the stretch, was sent between horses during the drive and disposed of JEAN THE JOKER in the last sixteenth mile. JEAN THE JOKER assumed command at once, made the pace until near the finish, but could not withstand the top one. MARSE ROBERT, on the outside to the stretch, held on well in a good effort. FLORIZAN SAM lacked early speed, but finished fast. PERFIDY e ngaged JEAN THE JOKER for a half mile, then faltered. CORKTOWN raced wide entering the stretch. VIRGINIA DUKE began slowly. PORT BEAUMONT was never prominent and probably needed the race. MIROSIE could not keep up. BRAHMAN tired. LAMMERGEYER was through early. MATTIE GIRL, away fast, was taken in hand after going a quarter mile, then was sent up fast in the middle of the track for the stretch run and, after disposing of RIOT, held AIM safe. AIM saved ground while in hand to the last three-eighths, finished fast under urging, but could not overtake the winner, although much the best of the others. RIOT, never far backi went to the front after three-eighths mile, entered the stretch with a clear lead, but faltered during the final furlong. HOT CHOCOLATE was outrun. BIMOVER raced prominently to the stretch, then gave way. STORM RIDDEN was never a serious contender. Scratched— 58737 Caramba, 111. Riot claimed by Jerry McCarthy Stable. NINE BELLS began fast, made the pace to the stretch under pressure from GALLANT DOLLY but faltered during the drive. BEEP BEEP could not better her position when hard ridden through the stretch. PRINCESS TRACE began sluggishly. JOHN A. S. was never dangerous. GRACES LADY was outrun. JACKIES IDOL was through early. BOLD GOLD quit after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. BYRONIC, forwardly placed from the outset, raced nearest LITTLE DANNY throughout, finished willingly, but could not overtake the winner. DIAMOND LANE lacked early foot, but finished fast. MISTER PERFECT gave a good effort and had no mishap. EVELYN L. tired after racing well to the stretch. MIVAL was outrun. CONVICTED was through early. THE PEER raced wide. SIR WALTER R. could not keep up. HOMINK PIGEON was never prominent and drifted cut during the stretch run.
