HARBOURTON went to the front after disposing of COUNT STEEL, raced well to the stretch, hut went lame during the drive and could not hold his advantaoe. BENDANEAR lacked earlv soeed. SPUNKY, never far back and well ridden, raced by BROAD CROSS during the stretch run, then held on determinedly to withstand FORAY VINA. The latter, forwardly placed from the beginning, finished well under urging, but could not reach the winner. CLEAR DAY lacked early speed, but finished fast under punishment. ALSIRAL made up ground during the drive. POLLYS DELAY, on the outside throughout, could not get to the top ones when set down through the stretch. BROAD CROSS went to the front at the start, made the pace to the last eighth, then weakened BOLDGER raced wide MARCH PROUDLY was never dangerous. LITTLE DANNY was through early. AIR FLIGHT, forwardly placed from . the start, was kept to the outside for the stretch run and closing fast, disposed of the leaders and held BEE LEE TEE safe. BEE LEE TEE, a sharp factor from the start, was in close quarters during the drive, but finished strongly. WILL YOU DANCE lacked early foot, was crowded slightly during the final furlong and could not overtake the leaders. WILL YOU DANCE riders claim of foul against AIR FLIGHT and BEE LEE TEE was not allowed by the stewards. TRAVELER went to the front before going a quarter mile, made the pace to the last eighth, then weakened. BADGER engaged TRAVELER until inside the stretch, but had nothing left for the drive. SULTANPEPPER away fast, and in hand to the last quarter, closed gamely, but was unable to reach the top one. MADAM JEEP raced well and had no mishap. ASTRODOME, much used racing SHERIFF HILL into defeat, had nothing left for the drive. BUMBASH00T was outrun. SHERIFF HILL was hustled tc the front early, engaged ASTRODOME for three-quarters mile, then gave way. TEMPTER had brief speed. RIEL FIRE was far back for the entire trip. GALLANT G. f., forwardly placed from the beginning, raced nearest LUSTY until inside the stretch, responded to strong handling and wore down the latter in the lasj, strides. LUSTY went to the front at once, made the pace for three-quarters of a mile under steady rating, responded readily when set down in the drive, but could not hold the winner, just missing OPENING DAY raced evenly to the stretch, but failed to rally for the drive. CLEANED raced wide into the stretch and could not threaten the leaders. MYSTERY MAN could not keep up. HISTORY MAKER tired. CORKTOWN began slowly and was never prominent.
