MISS HEIDI improved her position gradually, swung to the outside for the drive and drew clear near the end. STRATOJET raced within striking distance of the pace .while saving ground, responded under pressure, but was not good enough. HURRY PASS challenged mildly in the stretch and weakened. TOWN TOPIC opened a long lead, shortened stride after a half mile and was tiring badly. BAYAL saved ground to better late position. UNCLE HAL went evenly. PENCELL, outrun early, failed to make up apreciable ground oh the outside. RED SWIVEL quit. The others were outrun. The latter moved in closest attendance of the pace after a half mile, but was unable to reach the leader under strong urging. DICTIONLESS worked his way up on the outside, but was unable to menace. SIR JOSEPH T. lacked a late rally. TEDDYS DEVIL flattened out when put to pressure. JAKABLOM went evenly. MY BOY JACKIE was in distress soon after the start and bled profusely. STEVIE BOY improved position gradually on the outside, rallied in the final furlong and drew clear near the end. GATICA-LINDA rushed boldly on the final turn to take the lead, then faltered. PEACE TRAIL came around horses on the final bend and closed resolutely through the stretch. MISS CHALLA assumed command after a quarter mile, saved ground on turns and held on gamely until the final sixteenth before weakening. HERMAN L. lacked early speed. RICEY rushed around horses to challenge the leaders after three furlongs, then flattened out STRONG ADVANCE caught tiring horses. BOGS PRIDE was unable to keep up. VETCH quit. TEL-AVIV, taken back and steadied until the far turn, moved close to the pace when roused, gained command inside the final furlong and drew out readily. WARDRIL, reserved until the final quarter mile, rallied under pressure, but was not good enough. ELISANN, a forward factor, swerved to the outside on the first turn, forced the pace, challenged for the lead in the stretch and faltered. EUGARP, never far off the pace, drifted out slightly in the stretch. PEBBLES HOUR flattened out when put to pressure. BROKEN ARCHES was used up forcing the pace. DOIT EASY set the pace for six furlongs and tired. DEBMODE set the pace from the beginning, held a slight advantage, came out slightly and weakened. PRINCESS HOPE forced the pace, but weakened near the end. FRIENDLY SANDS caught tiring horses. COTTON GINNY was unable to keep up. FLIGHT PATROL dropped far off the early pace and was unable to threaten with the late rush along the inside. BE SWAYED had no mishap.
