Elevenpoint Will Seek Honors in Mound City CityInvader Invader to Fairmount Park Has Obstinate Si to Beat Tonight TonightBy By C A LINDEMAN LINDEMANStaff Staff Correspondent FAIRMOUNT PARK Collinsville HI June 12 Headlining the Saturday night card of nine outstanding events here at the Collinsville race course will be the Mound City which drew a select field of eight of the top sprinters stabled on the grounds at this time This event will have a 3300 purse which is the largest purse yet offered this season With the added 300 to the original purse the management will split the purse so that there will be five monies Top impost of 119 pounds has been as ¬ signed to Elevenpoint from the stable of Mr Mrs H G Knott who just arrived from Chicago today to compete in this fea ¬ tured event Elevenpoint comes here well recommended for a sterling race as he just recently accounted for a race at the Lin colnatHawthorne meeting in which the claiming price was for 7000 In winning that sevenfurlong event which was run over the turf course Elevenpoint was al ¬ ways with the contention from the start to finish winning by a margin of a head over Foxy Wager and Isomur In his last race at Hawthorne the Knott sprinter finished third in a six and onehalf furlongs dash which was won by Black Stream in 118 over a fast racing strip With the way this handicap is shaped up the Knott speedster will have his work cut out for himself himselfT T Mccartys fleet son of Alaking and Woodvale Lass Obstinate Si has won three of his four starts at this meeting and one race just before shipping here Obstinate Si has a world of early foot and getting in the Mound City Handicap with 115 pounds just three more than he shouldered when he turned in six furlongs in the fast time of 110 which was the fastest time of the meeting for the six panels To date the McCarty sprinter has taken the measure of the best sprinters here and with his package of 115 he is still the one they will have to defeat if they are to garner the top money of 2800 which is net to the winner Although no rider was named at entry time it is more than likely that R Sanabria will again handle tlie McCarty colorbearer colorbearerLucky Lucky Lable from the stable of the part ¬ ners Goodwin Thompson will be 6ut after his second victory in a row when he meets this fleet company in the Saturday night main event Lucky Labels last winning race was at the shorter distance of five and one half furlongs but from the way he came from behind to take the lead a sixteenth out then draw out winning by a twolength margin the added sixteenth should add to his chances His winning time was 105 Vs which is only a fifth of a second off the existing track record Lucky Lable will have Palmer Domenico in the saddle with 114 pounds on his weight weightThe The field for the Mound City Handicap will have the other sprinters Lancaster Lady from the stable of W Tabbytite Away Away owned by J C Harrison mak ing his second start of the meeting Wild Teddy a winner here from the stable of T Koonce Isit Cash and Fabulous South
