HOT CHOCOLATE was well placed early and, gaining steadily on BUSY GAL in the last furlong, wore her down to win narrowly. . BUSY GAL took a good lead in the first half mile and, saving ground in the stretch, held on well. DOUBLE BARREL closed with good courage to be up even with GRAND SPICE in the final strides. The latter had no apparent excuse. VICTORY ELF failed to offer a threat. DADSN SONS had some early speed. KNIGHTS REWARD was not rushed while being outrun in the first half mile, but responded readily when called upon rearing the far turn and, although going, rather wide in the stretch, wore down GOLDEN ADMIRAL to score under pressure. The latter had good speed-from the siart and held on well after racing MASTER RED into defeat. EQUAL STRIFE was also outpaced and was required to go wide on the stretch turn, but closed with good courage. HAPPY QUEEN, finished fairly well. MASTER RED tired after going six furlongs. ROZS STAR made a couple of valiant attempts to get to the front but weakened in the stretch. CHALLCOTE also tired.
