.Veteran Trainer Bob Gilmore Dies After Lingering Illness MIAMI, Fla., May 3.— Robert "Bob* Gil-more passed away at the Jackson Memorial Hospital Monday afternoon following a long and lingering illness according to word received today. Bob, as he was known to racing men for the past 65 years, entered the institution for. treatment in March. He was 79. Gilmore had been associated with racing for many years in various capacities. He was remembered as the trainer of In Memorian and in addition was one of the early founders of the HBPA and served in an official capacity ior that organization, j In late years he was associated with the ODare Van Lines as a solicitor. The body is at the Philbrick funeral parlors, Hialeah, where a rosary service will be held Thursday evening, followed by a Requiem Mass at St. Johns Church in Hialeah.
