H. McGahey; .bred by Mrs. P. A. B. Widener. IN GATE-6:09. OFF AT 6:09 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. ROCK PIGEON assumed command when LAURANNE faltered on the final turn, then repulsed SEARSIE under punishment and drew clear. The latter, never far back and gradually improving position, appeared ready to draw clear taking command between calls on the stretch turn, but drifted out and hung as if short. TOY FOX was steered to the inside for the stretch drive and rallied mildly. PUT OUT began sluggishly, willingly raced into closer contention after a half mile, but did not threaten the leaders. SUNNYMAN was outrun. JERRYS BEST was done early. VALS KID gave a dull effocl. FUGITIVE showed nothing. DOVER DAM and LAURANNE quit. Overweight— Jerrys Best, 2 pounds; Vals Kid, 2; Dover Dam, 2.
