TOP THAT, away alertly, assumed command after a half mile and steadily increased his advantage, winning with speed in reserve. BINSCARTH was sent into closer contention leaving the final turn, but was unable to endanger the winner when hard ridden through the late stages. FRIPPERTY, forwardly placed from the beginning, failed to rally when placed to punishment during the drive. MR. GRAY failed to make up appreciable ground. CHASED AGAIN tired. SALLYBOOTS had no apparent mishap. PALWIRE began sluggishly, then raced wide throughout most of the journey. TEXOLA and BROOKSHIRE never were formidable. ST. GERALD was through after six furlongs.
