The latter moved from just off the pace to attain a clear lead at the furlong pole, then failed to resist the winner. CAROLINA REX was always formidable and fought it out willingly. ALLEGRETTO weakened only slightly. KEVS SENSATION broke alertly, but was unable to retain that advantage. JOE JUDGE rallied from far back to become a threat, then lacked further response. STAR GRASS was in front for a half mile and weakened. WISE MARKET followed the pace in the early stages, entered the first flight and attained command in early stretch, then responded well to last over GRAND GRAPHEN. The latter trailed early, circled the field and was wearing down the winner. HOME BOY set the early pace, drifted out while allowing DIVE to move through, then came again, but was unable to cope with the top pair. BIGDOME lacked a response. TIP II. rallied too late.
