CRIMSON DUST, lightly restrained to the stretch, responded readily when set down in the drive and, disposing of the leaders, won going away. KING FIDDLE gradually worked way forward, reached the lead during the stretch run, but was not good enough for the winner. BE REWARDED, never far back, drifted out entering the stretch, then closed strongly in a good effort. AROMA raced wide through the stretch and could not seriously threaten the leaders. CHALLENGE WITT tired after racing forwardly placed to the final furlong. HERES RUCKS began sluggishly. KICKERINOS took command at once, set the pace until inside the stretch, then weakened. BLARNEY JILL had early speed, but failed to stay. DRIVE OVER was nevei proriiinent and had no mishap. SKY TAN, rank at the post, showed little in the running. MR. FAN FLIGHT, well placed from the start, reached the lead between calls and near the finish, but could not withstand the winner. RUTHIE S., much used racing MELODY AIR into defeat, faltered during the drive. BOORAL lacked early speed, but finished strongly. CRACKLETTE had no excuse. MELODY AIR raced with RUTHIE S. to the stretch, then weakened. CHRIS ALMO began poorly. TIMS MOON was through early and bore out badly during the last three-eighths mile. SHARBOT began fast, set the pace to the final furlong and held on determinedly under urging, but was not good enough for VANTAGE. ARSON began sluggishly, saved ground while improving position to the stretch, could not threaten the top pair when set down in the drive, but dead-heated BEA MARONY for third. The latter, reserved to the last three-eighths mile, closed strongly under urging and was up to finish on equal terms with ARSON. SWIVET raced forwardiy placed to the stretch, but had nothing left for the drive. BEST FLEET was outrun and had no mishap. BETTYS BEAUTY was through early.
