Brayes Sign Pair for Minors MILWAUKEE, Wis., June 25 UP. The Milwaukee Braves announced today they had signed southpaw pitcher Robert Theiss and shortstop Sam Elder to minor league contracts. Theiss, 20, of Salem, Ohio, was signed to a 1955 Evansville contract. Elder, 19, of Avon Park, Fla., was signed to a Jacksonville,- Fla., contract.
