,500 Invitational Pace To Be Run Friday Night SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111.. June 27. The Chicago Pace, a ,500 invitational event for three-year-olds, will headline Friday nights harness program here at Sportsmans Par. The event is scheduled by director of racing Jerry Baier to find out the best young pacer in the Middle West. Five of the local "rookies" will be pitted against the same number of out-of-town invaders. Among the local three-year-olds are Plutocrat, Little Miss Judy, Blue Goose, Dave Grattan and Darl Good Pick. Some of the invaders expected for the race are Sea Eagle, King Creed, Knight Stick, Chief Byrd and Golden Rise. Saturday nights program will be featured by the. ,000 Sportsmans Park Sprint Trot Championship. Among the probable contenders in this event are Darn Safe, Express Colby, Fez Oaks, Victor Morris, Pronto Boy and others.
