REDBIRD broke well, but was unable to keep up while racing on the inside, then came to the outside in thestretch to finish very fast and won going away. CORONA LARK was a good contender from the start and went gamely to the end to edge out JAFRAN. The latter displayed a fair turn of early speed and held on well. SENATOR BLAKE raced steadily and close up. PARIS ALL was used up setting the pace and tired. CARCO failed to offer a serious threat. Won driving; second and third the same. ATONE was never far from the early leaders and, coming out slightly in the stretch, gained gradually on LETTER CARRIER and caUght him nearing the end. LETTER CARRIER took command on the stretch turn to draw clear and, while much the best of the rest, was unable to resist the winner. FULLOPEP was outrun to the stretch, then came well. FRANCOLIN was going steadily at the end. FEB tired. WITTED was used up making the pace. NORA SHORE went to the middle of the track on the stretch turn. OPEN LAKE began slowly. SCAlRT RABBIT went to the front early and, well rated while making the pace, drew out when ready in the stretch to be an easy winner. HUGO YOU GO saved ground early and, moving up gradually in the stretch, bested BARBAREBA in the drive, but failed to menace the winner. BARBAREBA was a good contender all the way, but never threatened to take command. H00PDED0NT moved strongly after leaving "the backstretch, but lacked much finishing strength: ST. RENO finished fairly well. AGREED tired after going six furlongs. CHALLCOTE was badly outrun. ALCOVA went to the front at once and soon opening up a good lead, widened her margin after entering the stretch, but tired unexpectedly in the last fifty yards and was doing her best. MAYO LADY was closest to ALCOVA from the start and held on well but barely managed to stall off HASTY DRIVE. The latter came to the outside in the stretch to finish strongly. SPRINGLIKE went evenly. ULTRA SMART broke quickly and, although outrun early, maintained a forward position, then moved to the front on the outside nearing the last furlong to withstand a mild bid from MISS ARLETTE and was increasing her margin at the end. MISS ARLETTE lacked early speed, but saved ground and, coming to the outside in the stretch, moved up with good courage, but appeared to falter near the finish. FIGHTING JURY headed OLYMPIA LOU. nearing the stretch turn, but was not good enough for the first pair. IvlISS ENERGY was close enough early, but failed to offer serious opposition. JUDY RULLAH failed to keep up with the early leaders and, in rather tight quarters, was outpaced to the stretch, then moved very fast well out from the rail in the final sixteenth to get to the front about thirty yards out and win going strongly. GUARD RAIL was never too far away while racing on the outside and displayed courage in the final drive. REQUESTETTE went to the front at once and drawing clear of WAIKIKI around the stretch turn, opened up,a good advantage and raced well after being headed. WAIKIKI was" closest to REQUESTETTE early arid also held on fairly well. SUPPLE was racing steadily at the end. PRETTY PLUNGER was wide while racing fairly close up early and had her chance in the stretch but lacked the finishing punch. Scratched 514072 Special Style, 117. H. was close to the pace- from the start and., catching DEBBIE ANN on the stretch turn, saved ground to open up on the field and was well in front and going easily coming to the end. CORDITE began slowly and trailed for half the distance, then came well to be easily best of the others. DEBBIE ANN had something removed making the pace arid had little left for the run through the stretch. HIT ME made up some ground. SKY HALL and OPTIMUM had some early speed but tired.
