HIDDEN GOLD was steadied after an alert beginning; easily drew out from the field when ready and won with speed in reserve. LITTLE TEACHER lost ground racing on the outside and finished well. OCEAN HOP broke slowly, circled extremely wide in the drive and fiinsbed fast. OSCAR VEIL was a prominent factor and held on fairly well. BOOT TROUBLE broke sluggishly and raced wide. SWEEP LEE was carried out slightly on the stretch turn and weakened. SO CHEERFUL broke tardily, rushed into contention and tired. NOON QUEST was intermittently urged racing near the pace and finished well to best SEA RING. The latter broke slowly, rushed into contention in the opening furlong, but tired under prolonged pressure. SPONGE lacked a rally. DI-ORE-MODEL raced in spots. JOYCEY BABY was outrun. BARNEYS JOY raced to the leaders from the outside while in hand on the turn and drew clear when set down for the stretch run. ROMAN FAIR was taken in hand after a good beginning and rated off the pace to the stretch, then closed with good courage on the extreme outside. GREY HOUR, rated close to the pace, assumed command when ready, but then was not good enough. ALLADIER dwelt at the start and broke several lengths behind the field, was briskly awakened to steadily make up ground, then could have been closer but for being blocked midstretch. SCUB had to be steadied behind horses entering the stretch and lacked a rally. SUGARFOOT could not reach the front and weakened. GIOCONDA was hustled showing speed and faltered. COBIA lacked early speed, saved ground racing Into contention under pressure, then was given a breather on. the stretch turn and came between rivals to prove best in the final stages. ARDENT ARDAN .was ratedcosesL4andithe..pace, assumed command .under. steady pressure on the stretch turn and held on fairly well, although rider lost his whip at the far turn. WARIC had to be steadied while being outrun to an opening by COBIA at the far turn, loomed threateningly finding ample room on the inside for the stretch run, buthung. HAMPACE gradually rallied under pressure on the final turn, but hung in the final test. EVENING RAY raced on the outside and tired. Won driving; second and third the same. CROWNS GLORY, never far back racing along under mild pressure, gamely responded to intermittent punishment in the stretch and outfinished BLUE VET. The latter easily showed the most speed, repulsed a strong bid from TELEPOST on the turn and regained a clear lead in the stretch, then fought it out gamely under heavy punishment. TELEPOST, rated forwardly placed, , could not displace BLUE VET under punishment on the final turn and weakened suddenly. BILLYS GEM was under pressure to reach closer contention early and failed to respond after five furlongs. GOLDEN PRINCE was taken up swerving on the first turn and faltered after a half mile. PERSIAN CLAW RAPPED HIS LEFT FRONT ANKLE AGAINST THE RAIL IN THE POST PARADE AND HE WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN BY THE TRACK VETERINARIAN. ALL WAGERS ON HIM WERE REFUNDED. GOLDEN WEST established a xiear lead at, once, was confidently rated into the final furlong where she was .headed by WIDE RANGE. Skelly then struck her a couple of times and she again drew clear to win Vith authority. ICEBREAKER, , allowed to settle into stride, closed determinedly through the stretch and overcame being forced out by WIDE RANGE at the end to best that rival. WIDE RANGE was under steady urging while pressing GOLDEN WEST for the pace, gained a brief advantage just inside the furlong marker, but then drifted out and weakened. LADY BLANDFORD had no mishap. LEBANON LAD was never far back, willingly challenged for command after a half mile, but withstood a prolonged drive to best GAY STREET. .The latter was briskly ridden closest to the pace, held a brief advantage on the final turn and held on gamely when displaced. TOPSIDE raced along evenly between horses, swerved wide into the stretch, then could not get up in a game stretch rally. BOY DAMOUR was forced wide outside horses and finished well. THITHER raced well into the stretch and weakened. MY TRULY FAIR did not extend herself. SENGA swerved badly at the break, was straightened and sent into a commanding lead before the first turn, then was rated snugly until challenged and then faltered. DUFFIN was hard hustled opennig a commanding lead at the start and again responded to punishment and drew away in the final stages. RADICAL was well placed, made a mild rally under punishment after five furlongs, but hung.
