Comet Meadow Seeks His Fourth. Win at Fairmount Heads Field of Seven Tonight In Warson Woods Purse Sprint By J. J. HAHN Staff Correspondent FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., June 27. The 60 day-night meeting of the Fairmount Park Jockey Club moves into the 42nd program Tuesday night following the usual "dark1 Monday. No racing will be offered fans in this vicinity on Monday nights for the remainder of the season which terminates Friday night July 22. However, the port will be staged on. the afternoon of July 4 which will be headed by the ,000 one mile and a sixteenth Independence Day Handicap. When his original best allowance race failed to fill, racing secretary John J. Klucina called on his secondary race in-the book to serve as the headliner on the Tuesday night card." The event, a six furlongs dash for three-year-olds and upward, brings together a field of seven lesser-lights, most of them winners during the current session. The feature, named the Warson Woods, drew the entries of First Spin, Judge Mac, Dainty Dish, San Andres, Derby Play, Sangamon Girl "and Comet Meadow. Under the conditions of this allowance affair top-weight of 119 pounds is given Cornet Meadow who races in the silks of Dr. C. N. Salerno a prominent St. v Louis physician. Judge Mac, a- surprise winner here last week, and San Anclres, who has not won at the meeting, are- next at 114 pounds while the, others narrow down to Sangamon Girl, at 104 pounds, the only other non-winners at this session. The supporting number on the eight-race card is the . fifth at one mile and 70 yards and many winners since the start of the current session are scheduled to go postward. It includes Kidalley, Perfect Sweep, Bold Myth, Lady Pad, Busy Indian, Brown Ariel, Chicuelo Trust and Brill Lam. It was the intention of Klucina to stage a two-year-old event but because of it not drawing enough entries he did not program the five furlongs dash. Post time for the first race is 8:30 p.m.
