MORNING WATCH, never far back, drifted to the outside when set down through the stretch but disposed of ROBANDO and held CRACK ODAWN safe. The latter, a sharp factor from the outset, bore to the inside when hard ridden during the drive and was unable to overtake the winner. CHARLIES ALIBI began fast, then dropped back and raced evenly without mishap. ENGAGE, in hand to the last quarter mile, closed willingly under brisk urging but could not get to the leaders. ROBANDO went to the front early, raced HOURS LATER into defeat before entering the stretch and held on well to the final furlong, then gave way. WARRIORS STAND made a mild bid approaching the stretch but failed to rally during the drive. DO DOIT began slowly. CORRELATOR had early speed but failed to stay. ENVITE could not keep up. HINDRANCE broke poorly. HOURS LATER raced .forwardly placed-to the stretch but had nothing left for the drive.
