Comeback of The Pie King Temporarily Halted by Injury HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 24. — The comeback of Ray Bell and Ellwood Johnstons The Pie King was temporarily halted Saturday when he popped a suspensory in,f inishing fourth in the 3,250 Inglewood Handicap. Johnston, who also trains the horse, said this morning that he will ship the former English champion to the farm and will blister his right front leg. "I hope we will be able to bring him back to racing at Santa Anita," Johnston said, "but Im not too optimistic about it."
