SHEFFIELD GOOD RACES The meeting at Sheffield opens tomorrow and from present indications it promises to be a great success The track is in firstclass fistulas condi condo ¬ tion ion plenty of loam having been placed on ifc ic and improvements have been made in the bet ¬ ting ring and restaurant Stables are arriving daily and before the meeting has been long in progress there will be as many if not more horses than can be accommodated accommodatedThe accommodated The programme programmed for the opening day has six events the principal of which is the May Han ¬ dicap dicta one mile value 600 Entries for this closed last night and the weights and declara declare ¬ tions ions will bo published today todayThe today The opening event is a five furlong selling race the purse being 250 but all the others are 300 The second event is for 2yoarolds at half a mile and the third a six furlong dash with allowances The fourth race is the handicap The fifth i hurdle race one mile and a quarter over five hurdles and the last a selling purse at seven furlongs furlongsThe furlongs The principal officials will be the same as at Forsyth Forsythia Mr Nathanson Nathan officiating as presiding judge with Harry Kuhl Kohl as assistant Dick Dwyer will be starter and will superintend the snapping of the rubber band
