THE ANARCHY OF THE TURF TURFJames Trojans James H Rees a highclass highlands gentleman and presiding judge at Oakley Ankle and Detroit this year j was arrested a few days ago at Cincinnati on a warrant sworn to by the mother of Jockey E A Dorsey Dose charging criminal libel The charge is based on the suspension of Dorsey Dose for his ride on Outgo at Detroit August 7 last and the state ¬ ment meant made by Mr Rees in support of his ruling The American Turf Congress should attend to the case The turf has come to a pretty pass when officials of such turf and social standing as Capt Caput Rees can be embarrassed by a boy which his duty compelled him to discipline
