DORIAN FAILS ONCE MORE It rained all the afternoon yesterday at Ideal Park and the track was a sea of mud Handi Hand cappers had figured on a good track and when it came to picking mud runners they were at sea Consequently only one favorite Uncas Uncaps scored He was in the fourth event with only Walkover to beat and opening at even money was backed almost off the boards Caywood Cawed rode the Bren Brent ock bock sprinter and handled him well Walkover went to the front early and set a lively pace to the stretch where Uncas Uncaps challanged challenged him and after a mild struggle won with a bit to spare The spareThe sparest public got a hard fall in the mile race Dorian seemed to outclass his field and every wanted to bet on him at even money The ring took the money and profited by it Dorian got away in front and was prominent for three quarters Then he died away and Ben Wad dell who is real good right now and shifty in the mud came on and won handily from Ween Wen atchie catchier who was miserably ridden riddenSligo ridden Sligo Lingo was an even money chance for the first race but he could never get to Highland Fling a long shot chance shrewdly and carefully played by smart money Al moneyAl money Lone won the twoyearold toehold race off by her ¬ self though she was very tired and Lettie Letter at a good price ran true to form in the last event and just lasted long enough to stall off Glen beaus rush at the end
