MONTANAS GRAND RACING Horsemen should not forget the rich offerings of the Montana racing field Its stakes close Thursday There are twelve of them built on common sensible and modern lines During the fiftyfour days racing at Anaconda and Bntte some 152000 will be distributed The towns are but twentyseven miles apart Therefore there is fiftyfour days continuous racing During this term of fiftyfour days about half the 152 000 will be given to the winners of thoroughbred events Transportation is reasonably cheap to Montana Once there owners will find a grateful climate stabling and general accom odations of the first class courteous treatment and everyday winning conditions for all classes of horses horsesThe The Montana raciug enterprise is a modern wonder From nothing it sprang to more than respectability in 1898 From the Montana field came such great turf individuals as Ogden the Futurity winner May W and others othersThe The 1897 racing plan of the Montana tracks is far higher than that of last season Manager Dalys princely purse is behind the enterprise That keen and thorough horseman Ed A Tip ton who became famous by his management of the Kentucky Association track is the manager of the Montana enterprise Though a mere green horn in Montana last year Tiptons suc ¬ cess was phenomenal This year will show the fruit of his experience Horsemen can well afford to go to Montana for the offerings displayed and should not forget that entries to the twelve stakes close Thursday Entries sent to DAILY RACING FOEBI in time will cheerfully bo wired to Montana free of charge to owners
