CALIFORNIA RACING PLANS Broad racing plans are in contemplation for next winters meeting of both the Pacific Coast and California Jockey Clnb Clan meetings Ingle side is considering the establishment of a 25000 or30UOO International Handicap over a dis dais ¬ tance stance of ground for the spring of 1898 and the sending of an agent to both Australia and Europe to solicit entries The California Jockey lub club is planning to make the Burns Handicap the greatest of spring events as well as one of the richest It is likely too that the two tracks will work more closely together in the future and that Capt Caput J H Roes and Joseph A Murphy will judicially rule in both stands next season
