CALIFORNIA TO HAVE MORE OF IT SACRAMENTO Cal Oct 1 The State Board of Agriculture closed a deal with Colonel Dan Burns and Thomas H Williams representing the California Jockey Club by which the racing association controlling the Oakland track secured the use of the fair grounds at Sacra ¬ mento mentor for two weeks next spring and two addi Addis ¬ tional tonal weeks in the fall The contract is for one year only onlySecretary Secretary Ed Smith of the Board of Agricul Agric ¬ ture turret said tonight The intention is to arrange a circuit of sum ¬ mer mere racing in California The fall meeting at Sacramento will be held at the conclusion of the state fair meeting meetingColonel meeting Colonel Burns talked freely on the matter Our idea is to begin summer racing just as soon as our next winter season at Oakland closes He said When yon consider the number of good horses that remain in this state during the summer you can readily see that it is an important matter for the California horse
