JIMMY ROWES OWES STABLE STABLEJames Stableman James Rowe who has many supporters Tor Thor the position of starter in the east the coming season said yesterday that he did not want the position as he had his hands full with the horses he has at Brqokdale Brooked Farm FarmI Farm I cannot start horses and train a big stable too said Mr Rowe I have a lot of horses at Red Bank which take up my time pretty well now during the winter and will naturally be more exacting when the racing season opens opensAll opens All my horses are doing well but that as you know really means very little as there is nothing for them to do but to eat and walk around in the sheds If they will only do well when racing begins and they are trying to get a part of the money it will be much more to the point pointI point I have at Red Bank a lot of yearlings which will probably be sold at Sheepshead Shepherd Bay in June They are all nice youngsters and in good shape shapeOf shape Of the horses in training in my care there are five belonging to the Messrs Messes Thompson two to John Sanford three to L O Appleby Apple three to A J Joyner Joiner and myself and four 2yearolds of my own individually individuallyThe individually The Thompson lot consists of The Huguenot Reprisal Elkins Welkins Magnum and Herr Most MostMr Most Mr Sanfords Sanford two are a Faverdalo Favorable Nell filly and a Juvenal Retribution filly Mr Joyner Joiner and myself have three colts one by Juvenal Bassinette Bassinet one by Kiuglike Kinglike Loeti Lei tia tai and one by Juvenal Cascade CascadeThe Cascade The four belonging to me are twoyearolds toeholds a filly by Kinglike Coupon filly by Long Taw Rayorlight filly by St Blaiso Blains Carmen Careen and a colt by El Rio Rey Frey Satine Saltine All are promising and there is very little sickness among my horses this winter except slight colds Morn ¬ ing King Telegraph
